AP police to conduct 'Sports Meet' for rural youth
Warangal, Andhra Pradesh, May 31 (UNI) In order to develop competitive spirit and encourage the talents among rural youth, the district police, in collaboration with the Consortium of Farmers' Association (CFA) is conducting a two-day sports meet from June one.
Speaking at a press conference here, Superintendent of Police Ms Soumya Mishra said two events, Kabbadi for men and women and Volley Ball for men, would be conducted. Three teams from each circle would be invited to the competition and about 600 youth were likely to take part.
Unveiling a special logo for the event, she said each of the participant would be given a certificate, while the winners would get a certificate, memento and cash prize. A cash prize of Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 would be given to the winners and runners up respectively at the district level.
The winners would be sent to Hyderabad to take part in the state level competition. At the state level, the winners would get Rs 25,000 and the runners up, Rs 15,000 in cash.
