Mr Rajagopal who visited Rishita at the hunger strike camp this evening told reporters that the archer, besides winning several medals in National and International events, had scored a high rank.

It was very painful that she was not given a seat in medicine in sports persons quota, he said.

''I ensure that she gets medical admission this year'', he said adding every sportspersons should get justice in this regard.

He said on September 22, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would discuss the issue with APOA, Archery and other sports association.

Meanwhile, the NTR Health University of Sciences said the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) would verify the sports certificates, which were submitted for admission to medicine under sports quota.

It may be recalled that Rishita began her hunger strike on September 16, alleging irregularities in filling up seats in medicine under sports quota and alleged that non-sports persons got seats by submitting fake certificates.
