Argentina remembered!

Dhaka, May 12 (UNI) The morning papers said the mercurial Argentina striker Carlos Tevez may not continue with the Hammers next season.

The Sun reports that the 23-year-old striker has already told his Hammers' team-mates he will play his last game in a claret and blue shirt against Manchester United on Sunday, as Alan Curbishley's side look to avoid the drop. He has even stopped learning English.

Walking into the Mirpur stadium, where India are to take on Bangladesh for the second ODI, it was surprising to see that the ground was awash with Argentina colours.

The shamiana (cloth canopy) atop the gallery in stripes of sky blue and white fluttered in the morning breeze giving it the feel of a stadium filled with Argentina fans.

It is a different thing that another team in blue were engaged in an absorbing battle in separate game here.

A Bangladesh Cricket Board official when told of the similarity said, ''Argentina and Brazil have big fans everywhere. They are a hit here too.'' Just can't help thinking that there is a little bit of football everywhere! UNI BA SAM HT1045
