Rio de Janeiro, July 14: Wife of Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero said on Sunday that she was ready to offer her husband to American pop singer Rihanna for a week of their country won the World Cup for the third time, an Al Arabiya News report said.

Argentina took on three-times Germany in the final of the 2014 World Cup at the historic Maracana Stadium here on Sunday.

Thirty-six-year-old Eliana Guercio, a model-actress by profession, said in a Twitter post that Romero would be free to enjoy a week alone with the pop singer, a Spanish sports daily said on Thursday, reported the Al Arabiya News.

Mrs Romero's message came after 26-year-old Rihanna said in a tweet that she admired Romero, who produced an excellent performance in the semifinals by blocking the Dutch to take his team to the final for the fifth time.

This is the third time that Argentina and Germany are playing each other in the final of a World Cup. While Argentina won 3-2 in 1986, Germany won 1-0 in 1990.

Argentina beat the Netherlands 4-2 on penalties in the semifinals while Germany demolished hosts Brazil 7-1.
