Arsenal's Henry doubtful for PSV game, Rosicky out
LONDON, Mar 2 (Reuters) Arsenal captain Thierry Henry is an injury doubt for Wednesday's Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven, while Czech midfielder Tomas Rosicky will definitely miss the knockout round, second leg game.
Arsenal are trailing 1-0 after the first leg in Eindhoven and would sorely miss Henry if their talismanic France striker failed to recover from a foot injury in time.
Rosicky, who like Henry will not face Reading at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, will also miss the PSV match with a groin injury, the north London club said on its Web site (www.arsenal.com).
Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor and Ivorian defenders Kolo Toure and the injured Emmanuel Eboue (ankle) are suspended for the Reading game after the fracas in Sunday's League Cup final defeat by Chelsea. However, they are eligible in Europe if fit.
Along with the suspended players, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will have to contend with a growing injury list for Reading's visit, which comes at a troubled time for his club.
Midfielders Mathieu Flamini (foot) and Abou Diaby (ankle), along with defender Justin Hoyte (hamstring) and forward Robin van Persie (foot) are also unavailable tomorrow.
Arsenal's defeats by PSV and Chelsea have been followed by a midweek FA Cup fifth round exit at Blackburn Rovers, while Wenger has been asked by the FA to explain his accusations that a linesman had lied in his report on the League Cup final.
Adebayor faces a personal hearing next week after being charged by the FA with reacting aggressively and failing to leave the pitch following his red card on Sunday.
Both clubs have been charged with misconduct after the mass brawl, which also led to red cards for Toure and Chelsea's John Obi Mikel. Eboue was given a three-match ban on Thursday for violent conduct.
