Just after clinching Pakistan's first-ever individual gold medal at the Olympics, Arshad Nadeem has run into a controversy, spending his time with UN-designated Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Muhammad Harris Dar
The video of their conversion spread like wildfire, creating a heated social media debate about the influence of extremist groups on Pakistani citizens. X handle named OSINTTV (Open Source Intelligence) leaked the video on the social platform of Arshad and Harris having a conversation.

"It seems he was a chief guest in some felicitation ceremony organized by internationally designated terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba's finance secretary Harris Dhar," the X handle tweeted.
During the conversation, Harris praised Nadeem for his exceptional Olympic achievement, stating that his gold medal effort made the entire Muslim Ummah proud.
It's worth noting that Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is a global terrorist organization as declared by the United Nations. Muhammad Harris Dar is the Joint Secretary of the Milli Muslim League (MML), a political party founded by LeT terrorist Hafiz Saeed, who is notoriously known as the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Arshad Nadeem created an Olympic Record to secure the gold medal
On August 8, in the men's javelin throw final, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem scripted history, setting a new Olympic Record throw of 92.97m to prove his dominance at the iconic Stade de France, clinching the gold medal. Interestingly, this was Pakistan's first-ever Olympic gold medal in Athletics.
On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra, who entered the final as the reigning Olympic champion, settled for a throw of 89.45, his season best, to secure the silver medal. Grenada's Anderson Peters settled for the bronze medal with a throw of 88.54m.
At the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Nadem emerged as the first Pakistani athlete to make the cut for an Olympic final in athletics. However, he settled for the fifth rank then.
On the other hand, at the Paris Olympics 2024, he surpassed the 90m mark twice with his second throw touching 91.79m. Though Chopra threw 89.45m, he couldn't break into the 90m, losing his title to Nadeem.
Earlier in the qualifying round of the men's javelin throw event at the Paris Olympics 2024, Neeraj Chopra topped the rankings, securing a throw of 89.34m.
