Ashish Limaye Creates History With World Games and Asian Games Qualification in Poland

Indian equestrian rider Ashish Limaye scripted history at the prestigious international equestrian event in Sopot, Poland, after delivering standout performances across both the CCI 3S and CCI 4L categories to secure qualification for the World Games and the Asian Games.

Competing against some of the top international riders, Ashish finished fourth in the CCI 4L category aboard D'Avril du Pinier among 11 participants, earning qualification for the World Games. He followed it up with another fourth-place finish in the highly competitive CCI 3S category while riding Willy Be Dun, where 44 riders participated.

With the result, Ashish became the first Indian rider to qualify for the Asian Games in this category, marking a landmark achievement for Indian equestrian sport.

The performance further underlined India's growing progress on the global equestrian stage, with Ashish showcasing consistency and composure against a strong international field in Poland.

His journey has been backed closely by Embassy International Riding School (EIRS), which has played a key role in providing international exposure, training support, and development opportunities for Indian equestrian athletes.

Speaking after the achievement, Ashish Limaye said, "Representing India on an international platform and achieving qualification for both the World Games and the Asian Games is an incredibly proud moment for me. Competing in Sopot against such strong international riders was a great learning experience, and I am grateful for the unwavering support from Embassy International Riding School, my team, and everyone who has believed in this journey."

Embassy International Riding School Director Silva Storai also hailed the rider's achievement as a major milestone for Indian equestrian sport.

His dedication, discipline, and consistency have been exceptional, and becoming the first Indian to qualify for the Asian Games in this category is truly historic. Ashish's performance at Sopot is expected to serve as a major boost for Indian equestrian sports, reflecting the growing competitiveness of Indian riders internationally.
