Ashish Yadav rows UP to decent total

Visakhapatnam, Dec 6 (UNI) A century by Ashish Yadav 103 (8x4,4x6) helped Uttar Pradesh (UP) to hit up a total of 332 for nine against Karnataka at stumps on the first day of all India under-22 cricket championship for the C K Nayudu Trophy played here today.

The other main scorers were Prasanth Gupta 46 (5x4,1x6), Eklavya Dwivedi 50 (8x4) and Shivkant Sukla 39 (5x4).

In another match at Port stadium played between Hyderabad and Delhi, Hyderabad were 263 all out in 68.3 overs.

Avatar Singh 48 (7x4), Rishi Raj 50 (5x4), Mohamad Shakir 50 (7x4,1x6) and Vijay Goud 51 (6x4,1x6) were the main scorers for Hyderabad.

In reply, Delhi were 52 for 3 in 21 overs.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra scored 275 for 6 in 90 overs against Bengal in the first day.

In match four, played between Mumbai and Orissa, Orissa were 171 all out in 49.5 overs and in reply, in their first innings, Mumbai were 108 for one in 35 overs.
