Asiad billiards: Advani wins 1st gold for India

Guangzhou, Nov 14: Indian billiards player Pankaj Advani won the first gold medal for the country in Asian Games 2010 on Sunday, Nov 14.

Pankaj Advani won yellow metal in English billiards singles. Advani defeated Oo Nay Thway On 3-2 of Myanmar in the finals.

Pankaj Advani had won gold in the same event at Doha Asian Games in 2006.

Earlier on the day, Indian women shooting team won silver in women's Air Pistol team event. Another Indian shooter Vijay Kumar won bronze medal in the 10m air pistol individual event.
