Guangzhou, Nov 25: Indian athletes Joseph Abraham and Ashwini Akkunji won gold medals in men's and women's 400m hurdles respectively adding 8th and 9th gold for India in Asian Games 2010.

Joseph Abraham and Ashwini Akkunji created history by wining gold in 400m hurdles on Thurday, Nov 25. Ashwini clocked a personal best 56.15sec to grab the yellow metal.

Earlier on the day, Tintu Luka won the bronze in the women's 800m race. Kazhakstan's Margarita Matsko won the gold and Chinese Truong Thanh Hang settled with silver.
