Asiad: Indian Rower Bajrang Lal Takhar grabs gold

Guangzhou, Nov 19: The second gold medal came to India in Asian Games 2010 from an Indian rower Bajrang Lal Takhar by winning the men's singles sculls competition on Friday, Nov 19.

Indian army officer Takhar, who also was the first Indian to win a silver medal at the Doha Asian Games in 2006, led the 2,000 meter race right from the start and went on to take gold with a timing of 7:04.78.

He had also won the gold medal at the Asian Championships in Korea in 2009.

Pankaj Advani had won the first gold in billiard in the Asiad 2010.
