Guangzhou, Nov 26: India has surpassed gold medal performance of 2006 Doha Asian Games by winning 11th gold in women's khabadi on Friday, Nov 26.

Indian women's team grabbed the yellow metal by defeating Thailand in the final. India team scored 28 against Thailand's 13 to add another gold medal to country's 2010 Asian Games medal tally.

Earlier on Thursday, Nov 25 Indian athletes Joseph Abraham and Ashwini Akkunji won gold medals in men's and women's 400m hurdles. Boxer Vikas Krishna also won gold in men's 60kg category boxing.

India climbed to seventh position in medal tally with a total of 55 medals with 11 golds, 14 silver and 29 bronze.
