Asiad, CWG athletes will be awarded next month: Badal

Bathinda, Jan 17 (PTI) Punjab Deputy Chief MinisterSukhbir Singh Badal today said that the Asian and CommonwealthGames medalists would be honored with highest ever prize moneyin a function to be held next month.

Speaking about the steps taken by the government for thepromotion of sports, Badal said that 13 World Class stadiums,four sports schools and one sports college with Astroturffacility would be ready by August 15, 2011.

He said that Shaheed - e - Azam Bhagat Singh tournamentis being organized in 10 disciplines to provide record prizemoney to the budding players.
