Asian Boxing Cup: Indian trio storm into semis

New Delhi, Jun 10: Dinesh Kumar (81kg), Jitender Kumar (54kg), Jai Bhagwan (60kg) took India into the Semi Finals of the Asian Boxing Championships in Zhuhai, China on Wednesday, Jun 10.

While Dinesh's entered the semis with a knock-out win against Taipei rival, Huang-Yi; Jitender thrashed Enkhjargal Iderkhuu of Mongolia 10-2. Jai Bhagwan secured a 12-3 victory over local favourite Hu Quinxun.

With the trio qualifying the quarter-final round, India can be sure that the country will bag at least five medals this time.

Beside these three, Thokchom Nanao Singh (48kg) and Paramjit Samota (+91kg) have also made it to the semifinals.
