Hangzhou, September 29: Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar continued Indian shooters' medal rush at the ongoing Asian Games 2023 with a silver medal in Men's 50m Rifle 3 Position individual event on Friday (September 29) in Hangzhou.
Tomar, who had clinched the team gold with Swapnil Kusale and Akhil Sheoran with a world record-breaking total of 1769 points, secured the silver medal in the individual event with a total of 459.7.

China's Linshu Du clinched gold with a new Asian Games record total of 460.6, while his compatriot Jiaming Tian completed the podium with a total of 448.3 that sealed bronze. India's Kusale, who had also qualified for the final, had to settle for foruth place with 438.9 points.
Tomar's silver is his fourth medal in Hangzhou 2022 and the 18th shooting medal for India at the ongoing continental event. The latest medal win took India's tally to 32 - 8 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze.
Earlier, Tomar, Kusale and Sheoran's total surpassed the previous world record held by USA of 1761 points. China won silver with a total of 1763, while Korea bagged bronze with a total of 1748 in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions team event.
Also on Friday (September 29), teenagers Palak and Esha Singh took the 1-2 on the podium after baggin a gold and silver respectively in women's 10m Air Pistol individual event.
While 17-year-old Palak secured a gold medal with a new Asian Games record individual score of 242.1 points, her 18-year-old compatriot Esha secured a silver medal with 239.7 points. Paksitan's Kishmala Talat bagged bronze with 218 points.
This was also Palak and Esha's second medal of the day after the Team event silver earlier in the day with Divya TS. The Indian team finished with a total of 1731 points. China won gold with 1736 points, while Chinese Taipei secured bronze with 1723 points.
