Preeti Pawar, a skilled Indian boxer, outpunched Jordan's Silina Alhasanat to advance to the women's 54kg quarterfinals at the Asian Games on Sunday.
Preeti, who reached the World Championships pre-quarterfinals earlier this year, crushed her Jordanian opponent, winning by RSC (referee stops contest).

Preeti began the match on the defence before unleashing her aggressive game in a planned bout. Following a slow start, the Indian went on the offensive, landing precise punches and hooks to easily win the first two rounds.
Silina drifted away and seemed lost as the referee gave her two standing counts in the second and third rounds before calling the match off.
Later in the day, Nikhat Zareen, a two-time world champion and Birmingham Commonwealth Games gold medalist, will compete in the women's 50kg round of 32 against Thi Tam Nguyen of Vietnam.
