Hangzhou, September 27: Esha Singh followed up on her team gold with an individual silver in the 25m Women's Pistol event on Wednesday (September 27) in the ongoing Asian Games 2023 at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre in Hangzhou, China.
The 18-year-old, who qualified for the individual final in fifth place with a score of 586, clinched the silver medal after a good penultimate series to finish with a total of 34. China's Liu Rui bagged gold with Asian Games record of 38, while Korea's Yang Jiin claimed bronze with a total of 29.

Esha's compatriot Manu Bhaker, who topped the qualifying round with a total of 590, finished fifth in the final with a total of 21. Esha's silver was the 11th medal in shooting and 20th overall for India in the ongoing continental event.
Earlier on Wednesday (September 27), Bhaker, Esha and Rhythm Sangwan won the 25m Pistol team gold with a total of 1759 points. The silver medal was secured by China with 1756 points. South Korea got the bronze medal with a total of 1742 points.
The Indian shooters have had a mini medal rush so far, having won a total of 11 medals - 3 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze. In fact, only on Wednesday (September 27), the Indian shooters won a total of 6 medals.
The women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions team of Sift Kaur Samra, Ashi Chouksey and Manini Kaushik won silver, while Samra and Chouksey also won individual gold and bronze respectively. The men's skeet trio of Anant Jeet Singh Naruka, Gurjoat Khangura and Angad Veer Singh Bajwa won bronze with 355 points.
Earlier, the team of Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudrankksh Patil, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar had captured a world-record-breaking gold in men's 10 metre air rifle team. Also in the women's 10 m air rifle team, the trio of Mehuli Ghosh, Ramita Jindal and Ashi Chouksey had got a silver.
Ramita also secured a bronze medal in the women's 10 m air rifle individual event. Aishwary had also won a bronze in the men's 10 m air rifle individual event. The men's 25 m rapid-fire pistol trio of Adarsh Singh, Vijayveer Sidhu and Anish Bhanwala had also got a bronze to their name.
