Nizamabad's own, Nikhat, a two-time world champion, is part of the presently thriving generation of globally recognized boxers. During her youthful years, she accumulated numerous victories, which showcased a bright career path on the horizon.
However, an unfortunate event befell her when she suffered a shoulder snap in 2017 during the Inter-University Championships. This unfortunate incident sidelined her from boxing for nearly twelve months.
The prominent Nizamabad fighter broke ground by branding herself as the first Muslim woman to dive into boxing and represent India internationally professionally. Being sidelined from boxing for almost a year was arguably the most challenging period of her life.
Against all odds and despite facing criticism, the 26-year-old fighter orchestrated a dazzling comeback. She reinvigorated her career by seizing the gold medal in her comeback tournament, the 2018 Belgrade International Tournament in Serbia. That unfathomable self-confidence and determination became Zareen's armor facilitating her boxing journey.

Nikhat left an indelible mark during her Asian Championships debut in 2019. She grabbed the bronze medal, highlighted by a monumental triumph over Nazym Kyzaibay, a two-time world champion.
In 2022, Nikhat engrained her name in history by becoming the fifth Indian woman to clinch the Senior World Championships gold. Having established her skills at the World Championships, she continued her winning streak with a gold win at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, subsequently followed by her national championship victory in Bhopal.
During her second stint at the Elite World Championships, Zareen proved her worth yet again by securing her second consecutive gold medal at the 2023 IBA Women's World Championships. In doing so, she emerged as one of two Indian women to hold two World Championships gold medals.
