Indian shooters continued their stellar display on Thursday (September 28) as Sarabjot Singh, Shiva Narwal, and Arjun Singh Cheema clinched gold medal in the Men's 10m Air Pistol Team event in Asian Games 2023 at the Fuyang Yinhu Sports Centre in Hangzhou.
The Indian trio finished one point ahead of silver medallists China. This is the fourth gold medal in shooting and overall sixth yellow metal in the ongoing continental show-piece event. This medal took India's medal tally to 24.

With 1734 points Indian team clinched the gold, China stood second with 1733 points and Vietnam secured the bronze with 1730 points. Sarabjot Singh also qualified in fifth place for the final of the individual event.
Arjun Singh Cheema as well qualified for the final in 8th place. But Shiva Narwal failed to qualify for the individual final finishing 14th. However, the Indian duo, who qualified for the individual final, was not able to finish on the podium as Sarabjot finshed fourth and Arjun finished eighth.
Vietnam's Quang Huy Pham won gold, while Korea's Lee Wonho took silver and Uzbekistan's Vladimir Svechnikov won bronze. But after the team gold, India have now won 13 medals in shooting with four gold, four silver and five bronze in Hangzhou.
Meanwhile, the Mixed Skeet team of Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Ganemot Sekhon finished outside the qualification places and miss on a chance to add a third medal in skeet event. Naruka had won the individual silver and team bronze on Wednesday (September 27).
Earlier on Wednesday (September 27), Sift Kaur Samra bagged a gold and Ashi Chouksey won bronze in the women's 50m rifle 3P individual event, while Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan captured a Gold medal in the women's 25m pistol team event.
Also, Sift, Manini Kaushik and Ashi claimed silver in the 50m rifle 3 positions team event, while 18-year-old Esha Singh followed up on the 25m pistol team gold with an individual silver.
Earlier, team India's shooting trio, Divyansh Panwar, Rudrankksh Patil, and Aishwary Tomar, clinched first gold in shooting in the men's 10 m air rifle team event.
