Asian Games 2026: India Beat Indonesia 3-0 in Women's Table Tennis, Face Singapore Next
India has made a winning start to their women's table tennis team campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026, defeating Indonesia 3-0 in their opening Group F encounter on Sunday.
Sreeja Akula put India ahead in the opening tie against Ni Maharani, winning 3-1. Akula raced through the first game 11-3 before Maharani levelled the contest by taking the second 11-8. The Indian, however, regained control to win the next two games 11-4, 11-4.

Diya Chitale then extended India's lead with a convincing 3-0 victory over Almaira Nebuchadnezzar. Chitale took the opening game 11-9 and remained in command, winning the next two 11-8 and 11-5 to move India within one victory of the team win.
Yashaswini Ghorpade completed the sweep against Citra Rasmi. The first game went right down to the wire, with Ghorpade edging it 12-10, before she produced a more comfortable 11-4, 11-4 finish.
India are drawn in Group F, alongside Indonesia, Singapore and Pakistan.
When will India play next?
After the Indonesia victory, India face Singapore at 12:30 PM IST (4:00 PM Japan time) on Sunday, in their second Group F match. They are set to face Pakistan as well on Monday.
The Indian women's team features Sreeja Akula, Yashaswini Ghorpade, Diya Chitale, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Syndrela Das.
