KARACHI, Nov 8 (Reuters) The Pakistan Cricket Board is to consult a foreign medical expert to ascertain when paceman Mohammad Asif might recover from injury to play for the country.
Asif pulled out of the one-day series in India at the 11th hour due to a nagging elbow injury and the PCB is unclear whether he will recover in time to join the team for the three-test series from November 22.
''Asif has been undergoing a rehabilitation process recommended by the team trainer. But we will be sending him to consult a foreign expert,'' Dr Nasim Ashraf, board chairman told a news conference today.
