Atwal misses cut; Chopra at tied fifth in Honda Classic golf
Palm Beach, USA, Mar 3 (UNI) Arjun Atwal continued his poor form and missed the cut, even as Daniel Chopra fought back with three birdies in his last four holes at the Honda Classic golf tournament here.
Atwal carded a four-over 74 to complete 36 holes in six-over 146 but the cut line fell at four-over. He bogyeied in the first and third holes and then parred all the way to 11th, where he dropped a double bogey and just birdied the 12th.
He dropped another shot on 13th and ended at 74, which saw him miss the cut.
Meanwhile, Chopra started with birdies on second and third only to drop bogeys on tenth, 11th and 14th. But, he hit three birdies in his last four holes to come to 68 and climb to tied fifth from 21st.
He was three behind the co-leaders Korean Charlie Wi and Robert Allenby of Australia, who are now at five-under for 36 holes.
Will Mackenzie (69) and Steve Stricker (69) were tied third.
