Atwal tied 27th at South Georgia Classic

Valdosta, US, May 4: Arjun Atwal fired a three-under 69 to climb to the tied 27th spot in the penultimate round of the South Georgia Classic Golf Tournament here.

Atwal, who was languishing at the tied 55th position yesterday, has notched up a total of two-under 214 after the third round. The Chandigarh pro sank four birdies against a lone bogey. His birdies came during the first, seventh, 14th and 17th holes. Canadian Bryan DeCorso held on to his overnight lead with a 68 to take his total to 11-under 205. Greg Owen of England was second with seven-under 65.
