London, Aug 7: After a wonderful day at Olympics which saw Mary Kom qualify for the semi-final and assure India of another medal, Vikas Gowda also qualified for Discus Throw final. There were a few lows on Monday as medal prospects Vijender Singh, Gagan Narang failed to advance to the next level.

India's shooting campaign also ended on a dismal note after Gagan Narang and Sanjeev Rajput crashed out of 50M rifle 3 positions event while Manavjit Singh Sadhu also failed to make it to the final.

With Vikas Gowda and Mary Kom qualifying for the final (discuss throw) and semi-final (boxing), respectively, India is assured of a medal.
