The fight card for ONE 171: Qatar continues to grow stronger each week. Now, an exciting middleweight MMA rematch between Aung La N Sang and Shamil Erdogan has been booked for 20 February.
The two top-ranked contenders will clash again in the ONE Championship Circle at Lusail Sports Arena. In their previous encounter, the Turkish powerhouse secured a stoppage victory over the Burmese fan-favorite in the second round at ONE 168: Denver.

Aung La N Sang is one of the most seasoned fighters in ONE history. He made his debut in June 2014, winning four consecutive bouts to earn a World Title shot against then-ONE Middleweight MMA World Champion Vitaly Bigdash. He did, however, lose the judges' decision.
After six months, the pair were booked for a rematch in "The Burmese Python's" home country. There, Aung La N Sang got his revenge and became Myanmar's first-ever MMA World Champion.
Later, he captured the ONE Light Heavyweight World Championship to become a two-division titleholder, but he eventually lost both belts. Now, the 39-year-old is again on a mission to reclaim his previous World Titles, showcasing his well-rounded skills in both striking and grappling.
But he will be up against someone who previously defeated him convincingly. Six-foot-two Erdogan remains undefeated, having won all 10 of his fights with ease. The Dagestani-born fighter made his ONE debut against Chinese veteran Fan Rong, shutting him down with a devastating body kick.
In his second outing, he scored a TKO victory over Aung La N Sang. If he defeats the Burmese legend again, Erdogan will be just inches away from a shot against reigning middleweight king Anatoly Malykhin.
Erdogan will aim for his third straight victory in ONE, while Aung La N Sang looks to prove he is still capable of winning gold. ONE 171: Qatar will be headlined by two World Title fights as well - one in kickboxing and one in MMA.
Jonathan Haggerty defends his ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title against #1-ranked Wei Rui in the main event. While ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Joshua Pacio and interim king Jarred Brooks unify belts in the co-main event.
The undercard also features the return of India's Ritu Phogat to the ONE Circle as the The Indian Tigress faces Japan's Ayaka Miura in a women's atomweight MMA bout. Here is how the card stands for now:
