Australian Women’s Open: Diksha Dagar Finishes In 45th Position As Hannag Green Wins Title

Hannah Green won the Australia Women's Open at Kooyonga Golf Club in Adelaide on March 15, finishing at 11-under par with a final-round 70. Diksha Dagar ended as the top Indian, tied 45th at 6-over, after steady rounds of 72-74-74-74.

Green became the first Australian winner of the national open since Karrie Webb in 2014 and the first local player in over a decade to claim the Patricia Bridges Bowl. She edged compatriot Cassie Porter and France’s Agathe Laisne by one shot.

Diksha Dagar 45th at Australian Open

Diksha closed with a 2-over 74. Her card showed four birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey. She has now made the cut in all three of her starts in Australia this season, underlining a consistent run on the Ladies European Tour swing.

Avani Prashanth finished tied 49th at 7-over, on totals of 77-72-72-74 for 295. This was her first cut in three Australian starts this year. She signed for two birdies and four bogeys in the final round. Vani Kapoor ended tied 66th after a difficult weekend.

Player Country Scores Total Position
Diksha Dagar India 72-74-74-74 6-over T-45
Avani Prashanth India 77-72-72-74 7-over (295) T-49
Vani Kapoor India 72-74-80-80 306 T-66

Vani opened with rounds of 72 and 74 but slipped with back-to-back 80s to finish at 306. While she stayed inside the cut line, she could not recover momentum over the final two days at the demanding Kooyonga Golf Club layout.

Green, a seven-time LPGA winner, began the final round with a one-shot lead and signed for a composed 2-under 70. Porter and Laisne finished tied second at 10-under, while Australia’s Karis Davidson and South Africa’s Casandra Alexander shared fourth at 6-under.

Argentina’s Magdalena Simmermacher took solo sixth at 5-under and showed improved form after a tough period on the Tour. For Green, this was a second win in three weeks, following her LPGA triumph in Singapore earlier this month, and her first Ladies European Tour title.
