Bachenderi Pal leads camel-back expedition

Bhuj, Jan 17 (UNI) A 12-member women's expedition team, which has embarked on a camel-back desert expedition, was flagged off by BSF DIG( operations) N D Prasad here today.

The team is being lead by Ms Bachendri Pal. The expedition has been sponsored by Tata Steel on its centenary celebrations.

The expedition, assisted by the BSF, will cover a distance of 2000 km through the Great Rann of Kutch to Thar desert, traversing from Bhuj to Patan (Gujarat) and Barmer to Punjab, before ending its journey at the Wagah border after 20 days.
