Back-to-back defeats may see Australia knocked out of World Twenty20

By Super Admin

London, June 5 (ANI): If Australian cricket team suffers two defeats in a row in the Twenty20 World Cup, it could well find itself taking a plane home sooner than later.

The Aussies drew the short straw when the four three-team groups were named and, in the lottery-style uncertainty of the game, back-to-back defeats against the West Indies on Sunday and Sri Lanka next Tuesday would mean an end to their campaign.

Compare that with the draw of India in Group A who play Bangladesh and Ireland, or Pakistan and England in Group B who have the Netherlands as the third team, and Group D where South Africa and New Zealand play lowly Scotland. (ANI)
