DHAKA, Oct 31 (Reuters) Jamie Siddons, who is due to take the helm of the Bangladesh cricket team next month, said today that his aim was to bring consistency to the side.
Australian Jamie Siddons has signed a two-year contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and is due to start coaching from the last week of November.
''Just looking at the score sheets I saw that we have got some very good players. But they are very inconsistent and that is thing that I have to address,'' Siddons told a news conference.
Siddons, 43, arrived in Dhaka on Monday to discuss and finalise his contract with the BCB. His first assignment will be to take the team to New Zealand for three one-day internationals and two tests in December-January.
''Its not about to take them to number two in ranking. My vision as a Bangladesh coach is that we have to play very good cricket in all forms of the game -- test, one-day and Twenty20,'' he said.
