RJ Barrett is thrilled with the Toronto Raptors' turnaround, securing their place in the NBA Cup quarter-finals after a dominant win. The team's hard work is paying off as they aim for further success.

RJ Barrett expressed his excitement over the Toronto Raptors' recent success, as they secured a spot in the NBA Cup quarter-finals. The Raptors achieved a 3-0 record in NBA Cup play after a commanding 140-110 victory against the Washington Wizards. This win placed them at the top of East Group A. Brandon Ingram was instrumental, scoring 24 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and providing six assists.

Scottie Barnes and Sandro Mamukelashvili also contributed significantly, each adding 23 points to the scoreboard. The Raptors have now won six consecutive games and ten out of their last eleven. This impressive run follows a challenging start to the season, where they lost four of their first five games. Barrett is pleased with how the team has turned things around.

Barrett Celebrates Raptors' NBA Cup Success

The Raptors' current record of 11-5 marks their fourth-best start through 16 games in franchise history. Barrett shared his thoughts with Postmedia, as reported by the Toronto Sun: "It's been fun so far. Everybody's enjoying it and playing well, playing together." The team's hard work is clearly paying off.

Barrett highlighted the importance of teamwork and consistency: "All the work that we've been putting in is just showing. We've been saying it for a while, like, defence, we play hard, we play together. So now, you're kind of seeing the fruits." The Raptors' consistent performance has been key to their success this season.

The semi-finals and championship match of the NBA Cup will take place in Las Vegas in December. Head coach Darko Rajakovic is optimistic about their chances: "I think it's awesome," he said. "I think our guys deserve the opportunity to compete in that setup." He emphasised that it will be a unique experience for the team.

Looking Ahead to Las Vegas

Rajakovic noted that one game could determine whether they advance to the final four or not. "Definitely, we do have a vision and a desire to be there [Las Vegas]," he added. The team is focused on maintaining their momentum as they prepare for this crucial stage of the competition.

The Raptors' journey this season has been marked by resilience and determination. Their ability to overcome early setbacks and build on their strengths has positioned them as strong contenders in the NBA Cup. Fans eagerly anticipate their performance in Las Vegas next month.
