BBC correspondent reported on Tiger Woods' return from wrong golf course

By Super Admin

New York, Apr 25 (ANI): BBC correspondent James Pearce, who lacked the proper credentials to get inside Augusta National to cover Tiger Woods' return to golf, gave his live updates from another golf course more than a mile away.

Pearce delivered one report with a pair of elderly golfers puttering around in the background instead of following Woods and winner Phil Mickelson.

He watched the four-day golfing major on television, and then traveled to the golf course for his standups, the Daily News reports.

Pearce gave no indication that he wasn't anywhere near Augusta's famous "Amen Corner" on his BBC website blog and Twitter account.

"I have always dreamed of coming to Augusta. This year I have finally made it. There is only one reason for that: Tiger Woods," Pearce wrote on the blog.

The BBC issued a statement saying that Pearce was at pains not to mislead viewers by claiming he was reporting live from the Augusta National. (ANI)
