Becks cops flak for poor performance in Milan Vs Inter clash

London, Jan.26 (ANI): England football star David Beckham was singled out for criticism by the hard-nosed Italian Press after AC Milan were beaten 2-0 by nine-man Inter in Sunday's derby.

The defeat leaves Milan nine points adrift of their fierce city rivals, who are top of Serie A. It also rocked Becks' World Cup hopes.

Sports paper Gazzetta Dello Sport gave him just 5/10 and rapped: He looked like he was in a waxworks museum. Apart from the occasional cross he was largely absent."

Becks warranted a measly 41/2/10 by Corriere Dello Sport, the worst of any AC player.

Beckham, 34, is four games into his loan spell from LA Galaxy and hoped to use his time in Italy to showcase his talents for this summer's World Cup finals in South Africa. (ANI)
