Below par Atwal misses cut in Nationwide tour

Columbus, US, Jul 26 (UNI) Ace Indian golfer Arjun Atwal missed the cut by one shot as he carded a one-under 70 for a total of 146 in the second round of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational at the Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club here.

Starting from the tenth, Atwal had birdied the 12th, 15th, fourth and sixth while he droped shots on 17th, second and fifth.

The Chandigarh pro, who was currently 24th on the Money List needs to stay in top-25 to earn a full card to the PGA Tour next year and now after missing the cut he is likely to slip further in the standings.

Peter Tomasulo (67), leads at five-under par 137 and he was one stroke ahead of Rich Barcelo (70) and Brendon Todd (69) who were at four-under 138.

Ten players are tied for fourth at three-under 139, including overnight co-leader Bill Lunde (72). Kelly Grunewald (73), Dave Schultz (75), and Bryce Molder (75), all first round co-leaders, slipped out of the top 10.
