Sports: Binita Toppo to lead indian team

New Delhi, Jul 7 : Binita Toppo will lead an 18-member ''developing'' Indian Women hockey team in the three-nation tournament to be held in Bra, Italy from August 1 to 5.

According to Indian Women Hockey Federation (IWHF) president Vidya Stokes, the ''developing'' team is being sent for the 3-nation tourney in preparation for the 6th women's Asia Cup and Olympic qualifying tournament slated to be held in March/April next year.

The team: Suniti Kispotta, Poonam Toppo, Joydeep Kaur, Binita Toppo (Capt), Pushpa Pradhan, Rosalind Ralte, Meenakshi Saini, Amubi Devi, Manorama Devi, Eti Shrivastava, Saundrya Yendala, Poonam Malik, Anuradha Devi, Binita Xess, Lalremruati, Ritu Rani, Kirandeep Kaur, Vandana Kataria.

Officials: G S Bhangu(coach), Y S Chauhan (asstt coach) Lalrampari (coach-cum-manager) P S Anupama (umpire).
