Black and Huber sink Taiwanese pair to win doubles

MELBOURNE, Jan 26 (Reuters) Zimbabwe's Cara Black and Liezel Huber of South Africa won the Australian Open women's doubles title with a 6-4 6-7 6-1 victory over Taiwan's Chuang Chia-jung and Chan Yung-jan in the final today.

The third seeds won through in two hours and 10 minutes on Rod Laver Arena against a Taiwanese pairing who were making their country's first ever appearance in a grand slam final.

Black and Huber claimed their second grand slam title after winning at Wimbledon in 2005.

Chan, 17, and Chuang, 21, had enjoyed a memorable week, the highlight being their semi-final victory over the second seeds and defending champions Yan Zi and Zheng Jie of China.
