BMW Golf Cup 2026 In India Expands Amateur Golf Calendar With Its Largest Edition

The BMW Golf Cup 2026 schedule is out, with BMW Group India confirming 19 qualifying tournaments across 13 cities. The 16th edition returns as a key amateur golf event, expected to host over 2,200 amateur golfers, leading to a National Final and then the World Final.

Announcing the series in Gurugram on Jan 5, BMW Group India President and CEO Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar said the tournament reflects the brand’s focus on sport, community and premium experiences, with a wider footprint, deeper grassroots reach and an upgraded on-course and off-course experience.

The 2026 season will be played at leading courses in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Vadodara, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata and Gurugram. Brand partners include Omega, Etihad, TaylorMade, Ballantine's and HSBC, adding strong corporate backing to the amateur series.

BMW Golf Cup has grown from a UK event, first held as the BMW Invitation Tournament. It now runs more than 1,000 qualifying events worldwide, involving around 100,000 players across up to 40 countries. Top players from each country reach the BMW Golf Cup World Final.

The Indian BMW Golf Cup 2026 features two handicap groups. Category A is for golfers with handicaps up to 12. Category B covers handicaps 13 to 28. Winners from each local event reach the National Final, and the two National Final winners qualify for the World Final.

BMW Golf Cup 2026 India schedule

The 19 Indian qualifying tournaments run from January to October 2026, with two events in Gurugram and a National Final also planned in the Oct/Nov window. Multiple back-to-back days are scheduled in Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru to manage larger player fields.
