Bopanna-Qureshi advances to quarter-final of Indianapolis

New Delhi, Jul 16 (UNI) India's Rohan Bopanna and his Pakistani partner Aisam-ul-Quereshi rallied to beat fourth seeds Igor Kunitsyn and Dmitry Tursunov in the opening round to advance to the quarter-final of Indianapolis Tennis Championships in United States.

The unseeded Indo-Pak duo came back hard, after being a set down, to beat their Russian rivals 2-6 7-5 10-6.

Bopanna and Qureshi, who finished runners-up in last week's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, will now take on the Australian-American pair of Ashley Fisher and Tripp Phillips.

Meanwhile, Fisher and Phillips defeated Frenchmen Nicolas Mahut and Giles Simon in their opening round match of the 525,000 dollar hard court event.
