Boxing champ Amir Khan eyes Oscar after retirement

By Super Admin

London, May 28 (ANI): British boxing champ Amir Khan wants to turn to acting once he is done knocking out competition in the ring.

The present Commonwealth lightweight champion has fallen in love with Tinseltown while training there before his upcoming world title fight in London.

"Every time I go running I see that Hollywood sign and think, 'I fancy some of that when I'm done boxing'. I want to be a world champion and an Oscar winner," the Sun quoted him as saying.

The 22-year-old is set to attract a sell-out crowd at London's 20,00-seat capacity O2 arena when he contests Ukrainian Andreas Kotelnik for the WBA light-welterweight title on June 27.

He previously knocked off claims suggesting that it was his show that had led to the postponement of the opening concerts of Michael Jackson's comeback tour. (ANI)
