Boxing great Holyfield's wife receives restraining order against him

By Super Admin

London, Feb. 12 (ANI): Evander Holyfield's wife has received a temporary protective order against him after claiming that the boxing great hit her several times after an argument about her payments to their church.

The alleged assault occurred after the deeply-religious boxer said his wife needed to 'start putting God first' and then began arguing about payments made to their church, The Courier Mail reports.

According to court documents, a row erupted between the couple after Candi, 30, complained about the heating being switched off at their 10 million pound mansion in Georgia.

Source said that Evander, 47, was told about the order by his managers.

They added that Candi, Evander's third wife, is now seeking a divorce from her husband of almost seven years.

Holyfield, who goes by the nickname 'The Real Deal', is the only boxer to win the heavyweight title four times with estimated winnings of more than 127 million pounds.

Holyfield will forever be associated with his match against Mike Tyson in 1997 during which Tyson famously bit off the top part of Holyfield's ear and spat it out onto the canvas. (ANI)
