Brands dropping Tiger Woods from advertising

Washington, Dec 14: The world's most popular marketing ambassador Tiger Woods, whose image took a beating after over 10 extramarital affairs came to light, is being dropped from advertisements of brands such as Accenture and Gillette.

While Gillette said that the company would 'limit his role', Accenture said said it would not continue its agreement with Woods following the scandal surrounding his private life.

"As Tiger takes a break from the public eye, we will support his desire for privacy by limiting his role in our marketing programs," said Gillette.

Accenture on Sunday, Dec 13 announced its move against using Tiger Woods in advertisements.

"Given the circumstances of the last two weeks ... the company has determined that he is no longer the right representative for its advertising," Accenture's statement read.

The World's best golfer earlier announced that he was taking an indefinite break from golf to focus on his private life.

There are also reports that Woods"s wife Elin Nordegren is considering ending their marriage and returning to her native Sweden, despite the Woods' decision to take a break from golf.
