India's Ehtesham Ansari and Pakistan's Aqib Awan delivered an exciting Flyweight showdown at BRAVE CF 92 in Bahrain. Now that the dust has settled, the fighters have kickstarted a war of words on social media, setting the stage for a potential rematch in India.
The bout between Ehtesham and Aqib was the first of five India vs. Pakistan fights at BRAVE CF 92 in Bahrain. After back-and-forth action featuring high-level grappling exchanges, Aqib emerged victorious via ground-and-pound in the third round, snapping Ehtesham's six-fight winning streak.

Following the loss, Ehtesham was seen holding his hand and shoulder, indicating a possible injury. Recently, Ehtesham posted a photo of himself dropping Aqib during the fight, to which the Pakistani superstar has now clapped back.
Aqib first responded to Ehtesham's post by mocking his 'Dagestani Wrestling,' referencing Ehtesham's training camp in Dagestan. Later, Aqib intensified the rivalry by questioning Ehtesham's injury in an Instagram story.
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing happened to your arm, okay? If something did happen, why were you limping? It's your arm, not your leg. You can't even act properly. You were just mentally broken, looking for an excuse to explain why you lost. What a loser," Aqib wrote.
The exchange between the fighters has raised the stakes for their rivalry and captured the attention of fans. The India vs. Pakistan matchups at BRAVE CF 92 were part of a three-event series from BRAVE Combat Federation. The third instalment is set to take place in India in 2025, making it highly likely that this war of words could culminate in a rematch on Ehtesham's home turf.
