Brazil begins on winning note

Kannur, Apr 14 (UNI) Ferroviaria FC ,Brazil defeated Kerala X1 by a solitary goal in the inaugural match of the second E K Nayanar memorial gold cup international football tournament held here tonight.

The all important goal was scored by Jucimar Lima in the 32nd minute of the first half when he found the target from a close range.

Lima made most of the square pass from Rodrigo, breezed past the defenders and found the target.

Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanadhan inaugurated the tournament.
