Griner's Winning Return to Phoenix Mercury

Before the game, Griner received a warm welcome with a tribute video. Former teammates Diana Taurasi and Penny Taylor were present courtside. "When I looked over and saw D and Penny over there, it kind of ignited me a little bit," Griner expressed. She cherished being back on familiar grounds where she began her career.

The atmosphere was nostalgic for Griner as she interacted with fans and signed jerseys she had autographed numerous times before. "Just being back on the court where I basically started my career on, played the majority of it, it just felt good," she shared about her experience.
