Jalen Brunson's Clutch Performance Sends Knicks To Eastern Conference Semis; Clippers Force Game 7 Against Nuggets

Jalen Brunson scored a crucial three-pointer to secure the Knicks' victory over the Pistons, advancing them to the Eastern Conference semi-finals. Meanwhile, the Clippers defeated the Nuggets to set up a decisive Game 7.

The New York Knicks secured a thrilling victory over the Detroit Pistons, winning 116-113. Jalen Brunson's decisive 3-pointer with just 4.3 seconds left clinched the win. This triumph not only advanced the Knicks to the Eastern Conference semi-finals but also set up a clash with the Boston Celtics. Brunson, recently named the league's clutch player of the year, scored eight of his 40 points in the final minutes.

Despite their efforts, the Pistons couldn't capitalise on their opportunities. Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 23 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds but struggled from beyond the arc, missing all eight attempts. Tim Hardaway Jr. also faced difficulties, scoring only seven points and hitting just one of six 3-point shots.

Knicks Advance; Clippers Force Game 7

Mikal Bridges was instrumental for New York, contributing 25 points on an impressive 11-of-16 shooting performance. OG Anunoby added another 22 points to the tally, while Karl-Anthony Towns provided solid support with 10 points and 15 rebounds. The Knicks' late-game surge was pivotal in securing their spot in the next round.

Meanwhile, in a Western Conference showdown, the Los Angeles Clippers managed to stave off elimination against the Denver Nuggets. Their hard-fought 111-105 win tied their first-round series at three games each. James Harden played a crucial role by scoring 28 points after underwhelming performances in previous games.

Kawhi Leonard contributed significantly with 27 points and ten rebounds for Los Angeles. Norman Powell was vital after half-time, adding 16 of his total 24 points then. The Clippers' defence was key in containing Nikola Jokic, limiting him to five second-half points on poor shooting.

Ivica Zubac and Nicolas Batum were defensive anchors for Los Angeles. Zubac recorded five blocks, including two crucial ones against Jokic in the closing moments. Batum added three blocks of his own during critical stages of the game.

This victory sets up an exciting Game 7 between these two teams in Denver. The Clippers will aim to carry this momentum forward as they seek to advance further in the playoffs.
