Bucknor included to officiate in India's England tour

Dubai, July 3 (UNI) West Indian Steve Bucknor, who was penalised by the ICC for the World Cup final fiasco, was today appointed, along with Australian Simon Taufel and Souith African Ian Howell, to stand as feild umpires in the three-match Test series between India and England.

Bucknor will pair with Taufel at the first Test at Lord's from July 19-23 and Howell will replace the West Indian for the second Test at Old Trafford from July 27-31.

Bucknor will return in the third Test at the Oval and will stand along with Howell from August 9-13.

Sri Lankan Ranjan Madugalle will be the match referee for the Test series.

For the seven-ODI series, West Indian Billy Doctrove will stand along with an ECB-appointed umpire in the first three matches on August 21, 24 and 27 while Pakistan's Aleem Dar will officiate in the last four matches to be played on August 30, September 2, 5 and 8.

Another Sri Lankan Roshan Mahanama will be the match referee for the whole ODI series.

Before the ODI series against England, India will travel to Glasgow for an ODI against Scotland on August 16 for which Madugalle will be the match referee while Howell and Englishman Ian Gould will stand as field umpires.

Meanwhile, former India pacer Javagal Srinath has been named as match referee for the three-match ODI series between Zimbabwe and South Africa to be played at Bulawayo (August 22) and Harare on August 25 and 26.

ICC also announced umpires and match referees for the upcoming series in Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and Zimbabwe.
