Milwaukee Bucks Defeat Detroit Pistons 128-107 To Advance In NBA Cup Quarterfinals

The Milwaukee Bucks secured their seventh consecutive win by defeating the Detroit Pistons 128-107. With this victory, they finished Group B with a perfect record of 4-0 and advanced to the NBA Cup quarterfinals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard led the Milwaukee Bucks to a decisive 128-107 victory over the Detroit Pistons. This win marked their seventh consecutive triumph, securing a spot in the NBA Cup quarterfinals. The Bucks dominated East Group B with an unbeaten 4-0 record, winning nine of their last ten games after a slow start to the season.

The Phoenix Suns managed a 104-93 win against the San Antonio Spurs despite Kevin Durant's ankle injury. Devin Booker scored 29 points, surpassing 15,000 career points. Durant exited in the second quarter and did not return. The Suns were eliminated from the NBA Cup when Dallas defeated Memphis, despite Oklahoma City winning West Group B.

Bucks Beat Pistons to Reach NBA Cup Quarters

In Milwaukee's game, Gary Trent Jr. contributed 16 points, while Bobby Portis and Taurean Prince each added 14. A.J. Green chipped in with 11 points for the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo rested during the fourth quarter after scoring efficiently with 10 of 11 shots made in just 28 minutes on the court.

The Dallas Mavericks staged an impressive comeback to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 121-116, advancing to the NBA Cup quarterfinals as a wild card from the West. Luka Doni was instrumental with 37 points and 12 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie and P.J. Washington Jr.'s crucial three-pointers sealed their victory.

The Grizzlies' Ja Morant scored a season-high of 31 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to maintain their six-game winning streak. The loss resulted in their elimination from the NBA Cup race.

Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 23 points, while Tobias Harris added 16 for the Pistons. Tim Hardaway scored 15 and Jalen Duren contributed with another 11 points for Detroit, who were knocked out of the tournament after this defeat.

Suns Overcome Adversity

Victor Wembanyama of San Antonio had all his scoring efforts in the second half with a total of 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds despite missing all seven attempts in the first half from beyond the arc.

The Mavericks' rally was highlighted by Dinwiddie's back-to-back threes that secured their lead at a crucial moment late in the game. Dereck Lively II also played a significant role with his contribution of 17 points and grabbing key rebounds.

The Bucks' commanding performance saw them leading by significant margins throughout most of their game against Detroit. They held a comfortable lead at halftime and maintained control until securing their victory without much challenge from their opponents.
