The Milwaukee Bucks are currently facing challenges in maintaining their performance throughout entire games, according to coach Doc Rivers. Despite winning their season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers, they have since endured a five-game losing streak. Their latest defeat was a narrow 114-113 loss to the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers. Rivers expressed concerns about the team's fitness and consistency.
Rivers highlighted that the Bucks have struggled to sustain their efforts for the full 48 minutes of play. "We don't sustain the game," Rivers stated. He acknowledged that finding the right rotation remains an unresolved issue for the team. The Bucks had initially taken a strong lead with a 38-30 advantage in the first quarter at Fiserv Forum but faltered as the game progressed.

Damian Lillard delivered an impressive performance despite being on the losing side, scoring 41 points and providing nine assists. He successfully made 10 out of 15 attempts from beyond the arc. Lillard noted that opposing teams have often gained an edge through impactful contributions from their bench players.
"I think every team that's hurt us, they've had somebody come in off the bench and have an impact on the game," Lillard remarked. He observed that opponents have managed to regain momentum by making crucial three-point shots during critical moments when the Bucks seemed to be in control.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, who contributed significantly with 34 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists, remains optimistic about the team's future performances. He believes that while immediate success may not be guaranteed, there are positive signs of improvement within the team.
"It doesn't mean we're going to go to a five-game winning streak or a 10-game winning streak," Antetokounmpo said. "But I know that we're playing better. We trust one another better." He emphasized that improved ball movement and teamwork are aspects they can control and build upon.
The Bucks aim to address these issues as they seek to turn their fortunes around in upcoming games. The focus will be on sustaining energy levels and refining player rotations to enhance overall performance.
