By Staff

Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) The Budweiser 6v6 Cup road show will flag off here tomorrow to bring the excitement of the upcoming tournament to local football fans and give them an opportunity to register for the tournament.

MTV VJ Nikhil Chinappa will kick off the road show at Inorbit Mall in Malad. The Budweiser Cup truck will be at Nirmal Lifestyle Shopping Mall in Mulund on Saturday and at Centre One in Vashi on Sunday. The custom made truck recreates the magic of Old Trafford stadium, features cheerleaders, games and contests, football memorabilia and registration forms for up to six amateur players to register as a team and participate in the unique international tournament.

Throughout the next five weeks, the Budweiser Cup truck will be on a road show across Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, a release said.

''With this road show, we want to reach out to football fans across various states and bring them closer to the game by introducing them to this exciting six-on-six amateur football tournament,'' Head of Marketing for Budweiser in India Anil Manjunath said.

People who are passionate about football can register on-the-spot for a chance to 'Live the Dream' of playing at legendary Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, UK and meeting players from the Manchester United team for the experience of a lifetime, the release added.

Football enthusiasts can register on the road show, at selected bars and retailers, or by logging on to www.livethedream.in.

Registration will close on March 14, after which 25 teams each from the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, and 200 teams from Goa will be chosen through a lucky draw.

This will be followed by regional eliminations on March 29 and 30, after which the four regional winners travel to Mumbai for national finals. The winning team will represent India and live the dream of playing against teams from 17 other countries at Old Trafford in Manchester on May 5. All matches will be played out in the popular twenty minute six-on-six format, the release said.
