Jimmy Butler Considers His Return To Miami Heat As Just Another Game For Warriors

Jimmy Butler views his upcoming return to the Miami Heat as just another game. He emphasises the importance of winning for the Golden State Warriors, especially without Stephen Curry.

Jimmy Butler is set to face the Miami Heat on Tuesday, but he views it as just another match. The Golden State Warriors aim to bounce back after a 124-115 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks. In that game, Trae Young scored 25 points and contributed 10 assists, marking his 41st double-double of the season. Georges Niang added 23 points for Atlanta, while Onyeka Okongwu scored 20.

Butler led the Warriors with 25 points, eight assists, and four rebounds during the loss. The team played without Stephen Curry, who was sidelined due to a pelvic contusion. This marked only their third loss in 17 games. Despite being traded from Miami last month after a rocky split, Butler doesn't consider his return to Kaseya Center significant.

Butler Sees Return to Heat as Routine Game

The Warriors have a chance to recover against Miami, a team struggling since Butler's departure, losing 17 of their last 21 games. Reflecting on his past with the Heat, Butler remarked: "Yeah, I was traded from there, yada, yada, yada... But that's so far behind me now." He remains focused on Golden State's progress.

Butler faced three suspensions with the Heat before his trade, including an indefinite one for leaving practice. However, he isn't concerned about how Miami fans will react. "It doesn't make no difference," he stated. "I'm a member of the Golden State Warriors... I'm there to win now." His focus is firmly on his current team.

Discussing Saturday's loss, Butler emphasized the need for the Warriors to adapt without Curry. "Another game for me... We've got to figure it out very quickly," he said. The Warriors are currently sixth in the Western Conference with a record of 41-30.

Their journey in Atlanta marks the start of a five-game road trip that will end against the Los Angeles Lakers on April 3. As they navigate this stretch without Curry's leadership on court, finding solutions quickly is crucial for maintaining their position in the standings.
