Button bid for F-I glory in double trouble

By Super Admin

London, Sep.15 (ANI): Formula One pace setter Jenson Button is locked in contract talks with Brawn GP after asking for a five million pound pay rise.

But his racing team has come back with a "derisory" offer, according to The Sun.

Button, 29, has also been in a row with close title rival and team-mate Rubens Barrichello over the sharing of technical information.

The Somerset superstar took a four million pound pay cut last year to help save the Brackley-based outfit from the scrap heap after Honda put the team up for sale.

But now he is looking to boost his three million pound pay packet to eight million pounds as a reward for spearheading Brawn's double championship bid.

A source said: "But Brawn have come back with a derisory offer so no deal has been agreed yet. There was also the issue about not sharing all the technical information from Rubens' side of the garage but that has been sorted out now."

Button's problem is the lack of job options with most of the top places on the grid filled. (ANI)
